Two High School Teams Can’t Be Defeated
Only two teams in Tuscaloosa County remain undefeated as we enter the halfway mark in the season. Last Friday Night, the weather conditions may have affected some teams as the rain poured down across parts of Alabama.
In a hectic game against the Selma Saints, Northside pulls out an incredible win. The Saints put points on the board first, scoring on a wheel pass to the slot receiver for an 86-yard touchdown. However, the Saints did not complete the two-point conversion.
Selma's defense held the Rams on their side of the field forcing Northside to punt the ball back to the Saints, ending the Rams' first offensive drive. With Selma up by one touchdown, the Saints strike again nearing the end of the first quarter with a long run to put Selma up by 12 points.
The score was 20-7 at halftime before Northside did what they do best: rallied behind each other to make a comeback. Northside pulled together for an overtime win, making the score 26-20, to continue their undefeated season.
