West Alabama High School Football Preview: Week 8

It's almost hard to believe, but the high school football regular season is hitting the home stretch. With many teams playing their seventh game of the year this week, make sure you stay up to date on which teams are playoff bound.

Tuscaloosa County High takes on Hoover this week in a huge 7A Region 3 match-up. After dropping their first two games of the year, Hoover have been on a tear and made their case as the best team in the state of Alabama. County High is sitting at 3-3 on the season and 2-2 in the region, so a win here for the Wildcats would be huge for their chances at making the playoffs. Kick off is at 7:00 PM here on TIDE 99.1.

One of the biggest games in the state will be right down the road in Gordo, AL. The Gordo Greenwave host the Aliceville Yellow Jackets Friday night in top 10 action in 3A football. The winner of this game will control their destiny in the standings in Region 4.
