With just under two weeks until Christmas day arrives, it's time to really start ramping up the holiday spirit.
Thankfully Tuscaloosa has plenty to offer people over the next 10 days to help you get in the mood and enjoy the most wonderful time of the year. Holidays on the River is back at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater with ice skating, music, movie nights, and more. It's open every day of the week except for Monday and many nights have different themes. Get the full schedule here.
Tinsel Trail
Tuscaloosa RiverwalkAlready in its 5th year, the Tinsel Trail features hundreds of Christmas trees decorated by local businesses and groups. The trees line the Tuscaloosa Riverwalk all month and it's a great place to take the family. Get more information here.
A Christmas Carol Performance
Bean Brown TheatreRunning through December 17
Visit the Shelton State theater to see this traditional tale in which four mysterious spirits visit Ebenezer Scrooge to help him find the true meaning of Christmas. Monarch Espresso BarDecember 14
The Monarch Espresso Bar in downtown Tuscaloosa is hosting the first Christmas Market on December 14. Monarch will be selling coffee bags, handmade pottery, cookie boxes, pies, new t-shirts, pins and more. Several local vendors will be set up and selling floral arrangements, handmade jewelry, apparel, makeup and amazing food. Learn more here.

Each Saturday in December, Midtown Village is having 'Visits with Santa.' This is a free event and Santa will have a surprise for every child who visits. Childen will be able to write their Letters to Santa and drop them in Santa's Mailbox. Learn more here.

Sunday with Santa presented by Buffalo Rock is an event for the entire family. Annual Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra Christmas Celebration

This program of classical and contemporary holiday favorites is an annual tradition that is not to be missed. The Tuscaloosa Symphony will once again partner with the beautiful voices of the Alabama Choir School and the Prentice Concert Chorale.
