As the saying goes, “Christmas is the season of giving,” and that can be seen in the recent charity work by former Alabama lineman Jedrick Wills, Jr.

Wills, now a core member of the playoff-hopeful Cleveland Browns made headlines across the country this week when he hosted his inaugural “Jedrick’s Winter Blast.”

As reported by Adam Schefter above, Wills “surprised a woman with a new car, paid the rent for a year for a family that lost its home in a house fire, and spread $50,000 worth of toys, gifts, and cash to five Cleveland-area families.”

On his Twitter, Wills called his first event a “life-changing experience.” The former Alabama standout also hinted that he would be continuing the Christmas cheer next year by hosting a second event.

As a member of the Crimson Tide, Wills assisted the team in winning 38 out of 42 games and was a part of the 2017team that won a national title against Georgia in Atlanta.

Wills joined the Browns when he was drafted tenth overall in the 2020 NFL Draft.

During his first season in Cleveland, Wills has started in all 14 of the Browns’ games to result in a 10-4 record and a shot at the team’s first playoff appearance since 2002.

Recently, the offensive lineman was chosen as the TIDE 100.9 “Bama Pro of the Week”  for his performance against the Houston Texans in Week 10.
