A.J. McCarron Released by the UFL’s Saint Louis Battlehawks

On Friday November 15th, the Battlehawks of the UFL released ex Bama quarterback A.J. McCarron.

While this seems like a dire move for McCarron, it may actually open up some opportunities for the quarterback within the NFL. As the NFL season progresses, more and more teams are in need of quality backups. While no reach outs from teams have been confirmed, it is still a big possibility that he could land a roster spot.

Obviously this is all speculation right now, and McCarron may not want to return to football, but being that he is a more than capable and proven quarterback, it would come as no surprise should he land a roster spot as a backup in the league.
