The Atlantic Coast Conference has released its official schedule for the 2020 season. The conference will play a 10 game conference schedule, plus one non-conference game. The season is scheduled to get underway on September 12 and the conference will hold its championship game on December 12 or December 19.

Each ACC team has found a non-conference opponent except for Clemson and North Carolina. Both universities are scheduled to play an opponent yet to be named in the second week.

The best matchup in the opening week looks like Syracuse at North Carolina.

Week 3 will hold Florida State at Miami and Louisville at Pittsburgh.

Interestingly enough Notre Dame did not matchup with Navy as their non conference opponent. The ACC required the programs to play the non-conference games in the home state which likely complicated scheduling. Notre Dame will host Western Michigan in South Bend.

Two Alabama schools will travel to ACC schools for games this season, UAB will take on Miami in the first week and Samford will head to Florida State in the second week.

Each team will have two bye weeks built into the schedule which could help with potential cancellations. With a floating date for the ACC Championship Game it also builds in a third weekend to make up for postponements.

Other notable rivalry games this year see Virginia at Virginia Tech in week two and North Carolina at Duke in week nine.
