Alabama 2024 Football Schedule Takes Shape

We won't know the entire 2024 Alabama football schedule until its announced on the SEC Network Wednesday night. But we know a little, thanks to a report by Griffin McVeigh of On3 Sports.

The league gave people a preview during halftime of Monday Night football’s doubleheader. Two big time matchups were officially given dates, and they involved the league's two newest members, Texas and Oklahoma.

On  my birthday, Oct. 19, Texas will host Kirby Smart and Georgia in a cowboy hat/visor dual. t’s a rematch of the 2018 Sugar Bowl.

Both programs deservedly will have a ton of preseason hype entering the season. If both do their jobs, this could be a a ranked matchup that affects who makes the SEC Championship in Atlanta.

But there's more, and it affects Bama Nation.

Oklahoma will have its premier home game of the season when Nick Saban's crimson Tide heads to Norman Nov. 23.  As McVeigh said, "Two blue-blood programs meeting up is a special occurrence but these two now being conference foes makes the occasion even bigger."

Instead of playing some pre-Iron Bowl cupcake like Chattanooga, Saban will take his team to face off against  former Dabo Swinney DC Brent Venables and his Sooners. Huge difference, and a win for fans of college football.

The two announced games mentioned above, as McVeigh point out, will draw huge TV ratings which is what the SEC was hoping for when bringing  the Longhorn and Sooner programs in.

Though more specifics will be announced Wednesday night by ESPN and the SEC Network, here's what we know of the '24 Alabama slate, compliments of fbsschedules.com:
