Alabama Baseball Announces Tuesday Starter against MTSU
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The Crimson Tide will look to build off of their series sweep over Bradley, hosting two midweek matchups against Middle Tennessee State on Tuesday and Alabama State on Wednesday.

Monday evening, the Crimson Tide announced in a release that junior right-hander JT Blackwood earned the ball for Tuesday evening against the Blue Raiders.
Blackwood saw one inning of action this weekend, facing three batters and retiring them in order on 15 pitches Friday evening in Alabama's 10-6 Opening Day victory.
Vaughn mentioned Blackwood as an arm who competed for a weekend rotation spot this off-season.
Blackwood will face off against Middle Tennessee State redshirt senior Will Jenkins, who pitched three shutout innings in relief against MTSU's 6-7 loss to Bowling Green Friday.
Alabama is still yet to announce their starter for their Wednesday game against Alabama State. The Hornets are yet to do so as well.
