Alabama basketball concluded the 2021-22 season with a disappointing ending, losing four straight and going 0-4 in the month of March.

Alabama finished the year 19-14 and 9-9 in conference, a very inconsistent season to say the least. The roller coaster type season started off with a bang, starting 8-1 with wins against third ranked Gonzaga and 14th ranked Houston.

Alabama went on to have some very bad losses, such as to a struggling Memphis team and a one point heart-breaker to Davidson and ended with a very underwhelming 9-9 record in SEC play with losses to Georgia, Missouri and Mississippi State.

Alabama will be expecting a big roster change in the off-season with first team all defense selection Keon Ellis graduating, as well as Jahvon Quinerly, who tore his ACL against Notre Dame in the NCAA Tournament and James Rojas.

Alabama is also expecting a lot of its production form last year to be back such as Noah Gurley and Charles Bediako. Freshmen 5-star JD Davison is expected to declare for the NBA Draft but is unsure of what grade he will receive.

If Davison does not get the feedback that he wants to hear we could be seeing the former McDonalds All-American back for a second year. Leading scorer for Alabama junior Jaden Shackelford could also be entering the draft while also having the option of coming back for a senior season.

Alabama will also be bringing in one of their best recruiting classes in quite some time. It will feature two 5-star prospects for the first time in school history in the number one point guard Jaden Bradley and the number eleven ranked recruit from Antioch, Tennessee Brandon Miller. The class also feature two other top 50 players, shooting guard Rylan Griffen and power forward Noah Clowney. The class will also feature Nick Pringle who is ranked as the third best player in Junior College.
