Alabama enters week 10 ranked No. 13, up from No. 14 last week. The Crimson Tide is now the second-highest SEC team, just behind Vanderbilt at No. 11. Five total SEC teams were listed in the Top-25 on Monday.

The Crimson Tide has played some dominant basketball this past week, outscoring its last two opponents 191-152, with the Tide taking down both Yale and Kentucky by double digits.

The Crimson Tide managed this success without its leading scorer, Labaron Philon, last Monday against a solid Yale team. In Philon’s absence, Alabama’s junior guard Aden Holloway had an explosive game that saw him score 26 points to go along with seven assists as he led the Tide to a season high in three pointers made in a game (22) in the Tide’s dominating 102-78 win against Yale.  This win saw four members of the Crimson Tide make at least three shots from beyond the arc.

Philon returned for the conference opener against Kentucky and contributed 17 points. Holloway, however, again led the scoring attack with 26 points while making six three-pointers. Freshman Forward Amari Allen added 11 points and nine rebounds, while center Noah Williamson, a transfer from Bucknell, scored a season-high 10 points and grabbed four rebounds. Each contribution supported Alabama’s 89-74 win over Kentucky.

Alabama will look to extend it’s four game winning streak this week, and stay perfect in conference play as the Tide will play two conference games this week with a trip to Nashville to take on No.11 Vanderbilt on Wednesday January 7th at 8:00 p.m. to start the week, and then the Tide will finish the weekend back in Coleman Coliseum on Saturday January 10th at 7:00 p.m. where they will take on Texas.
