The Alabama basketball team held media availability today after practice ahead of tomorrow’s game against Georgia. The Crimson Tide, riding a three game losing streak desperately needs to bounce back and get a road win against the Bulldogs.

Head coach Nate Oats spoke about the importance of making winning plays throughout the game and not allowing the opposing teams to go on long runs in the game. Oats talked about how he may need to adjust his philosophy regarding how he uses timeouts during the game to aid his team in stopping those runs. Oats commented on Georgia Bulldog touted freshman Anthony Edwards and what kind of matchup issues he presents the Crimson Tide.

Alabama Freshman Javian Davis and Jaden Shackelford also met the media and spoke about the importance of bringing “the dog” mentality on the road to play the Georgia Bulldogs. Davis emphasized the importance of playing smart and not getting into foul trouble due to the limited options on the Alabama bench. Shackelford spoke about the importance of filling the gaps left defensively with the injury to Herb Jones.
