Alabama cornerback Khyree Jackson suffered a sprained ankle during Saturday's 63-7 win against Louisiana-Monroe, according to Alabama football head coach Nick Saban.

"Yeah, he sprained his ankle on a punt return," said Saban. "I think the one that Brian Branch ran back for a touchdown. I don't think it's significant, but when you have an ankle injury, you gotta go day-to-day and we'll see how he does this week."

During Branch's punt return at the beginning of the fourth quarter, Jackson was seen blocking a Warhawk defender. He lifted his leg out, then slowed down on his block, however ran down the field with Branch and was spotted in the end zone celebration after the touchdown.

Jackson was reportedly seen in a walking boot as he left Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday night after Alabama's victory.

Jackson has recorded five solo tackles and one tackle for loss for two yards thus far this season.
