Alabama Drops in the Top-25 Following Series Loss to LSU
On Monday, D1Baseball released its top-25, which saw the Alabama baseball team drop out of the top 15 after losing its third consecutive SEC series, this time against LSU. The Tigers won the series in two games, but Alabama managed to avoid a sweep by securing a 7-4 victory in game three on Saturday.

The Crimson Tide had a 2-2 record this week. Rob Vaughn's team secured a victory in their midweek series against UAB, winning the game 5-3. They also won game three of their weekend series against LSU after losing the first two games.
According to D1Baseball, Alabama is currently ranked No. 18 in the country, dropping three spots from last week’s No. 15 ranking after losing their weekend series against LSU. Meanwhile, the Tigers moved up one spot to No. 7, improving from their previous rank of No. 8.
This week, the SEC has six teams ranked in the top 10. Texas is once again at the number one spot, holding on for a second consecutive week after sweeping No. 11 Auburn at home this weekend. However, two SEC teams fell out of the top five: Georgia dropped from No. 5 to No. 10 after being swept by No.9 Vanderbilt, and Tennessee fell from No. 4 to No. 6 after losing their series against Kentucky.
