Alabama Earns Commitment From In-State DL
The Crimson Tide wrapped up spring practice with A-Day on Saturday, and Alab ama is already seeing the fruits of its labor on the recruiting trail.

According to Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports, Alabama earned a commitment from in-state defensive lineman Kamhariyan Johnson.
Johnson, a 6-foot-3, 262-pound defensive lineman from Muscle Shoals, Alabama, committed to the Crimson Tide over Auburn, Clemson, and Ole Miss.
In his commitment post to Hayes Fawcett, he said, "LLMYPOPS, I’M HOME🐘🐘."
Johnaon is a four-star prospect according to 247 Sports composite rankings, as a top-400 prospect in the 2026 recruiting class. He is the 35th-ranked edge prospect and the No. 16 overall player in the state of Alabama.
Johnson will take an official visit to Alabama in June 2025, with official visits also scheduled for Ole Miss, Clemson, Auburn, USC, and Miami during the summer recruiting calendar.
He received his Alabama offer in January 2025.
Johnson took an unofficial visit to Alabama this weekend to watch the Tide compete in an open practice on A-Day and took two other visits to the Capstone in March and February.
He becomes the fifth commitment in Alabama's 2026 recruiting class, currently ranked No. 7 in the country, according to On3 Sports.
He joins five-star Jorden Edmonds, four-star Zyan Gibson, four-star Jamarion Matthews, and four-star Chris Booker as members of Alabama's 2026 recruiting class.
