Nick Saban and President Obama have to be pretty close friends at this point.

For the fourth time during the president's two terms in office, the University of Alabama football team will visit the White House to honor a national championship.

The 2015 team, which defeated Clemson 45-40 on January 11, will travel to Washington D.C. on Wednesday to be recognized by Obama. This is a tradition he's kept throughout his presidency to honor sports teams and their efforts to give back to the community.

Alabama football also made the trip north following national championships in 2009, 2011, and 2012. Check out these photos from past visits.
