Alabama Frozen Tide Open Home Hockey Slate Friday
Friday, the Alabama Frozen Tide, the official club hockey team for the University of Alabama opens its season at home against West Virginia.
The Tide welcomes the Mountaineers to the Pelham Civic Complex for a pair of games over the weekend, after returning from a trip to play Oklahoma last Friday and Saturday.
This marks the first weekend of the 2022-2023 school year where Alabama will play in Pelham for its fans to enjoy. The Tide split its games in Norman, winning 4-3 in a shootout on Friday, before falling 3-2 in another shootout on Saturday.
Alabama now turns its attention to a talented West Virginia team, which is sure to bring fire competition to 'The Plex' over the coming days.

For tickets, fans can visit the stadium box office on gameday. Adult tickets are $8 at the door, while UA students can get in for $5 with a valid Action Card ID. Kids 5 & under for the game are free to attend at no added charge.
Alabama is coming off an appearance in the Division 1 Club National Championships last season and poised for yet another big year.
