Alabama gymnastics only has one loss in the season so far, and it was a close one. The ladies' latest meet in Athens, GA Friday against the Dawgs ended in a final score of 197.00 to 197.275. This puts the team at 4-1 on the season and 2-1 on the road. Although the Tide lost, a combined team score of 197.00 is the highest of the season thus far and there is still plenty of time to bounce back.

According to the Road to Nationals the Crimson Tide are ranked No. 6 in the country in the NCAA rankings. Having already beaten ranked Kentucky, Missouri, and Auburn, this one loss should give the girls momentum to finish the season strong. Although, the road ahead is extremely tough, the SEC is stacked in the rankings with seven teams in the top 20.

Next on the Tide’s schedule is No. 2 LSU at home, at No. 5 Arkansas, and a home meet against No. 1 ranked Florida on Saturday March 5, 2021. Less than a single point separates the average score between Alabama and Florida. The SEC conference championship meet will be held Saturday March 20 this year.
