Alabama Set to Welcome Top 2028 Prospect from Tennessee This Weekend
On Wednesday, the Crimson Tide received news that a highly regarded prospect from the 2028 class will be attending Alabama's game against Vanderbilt this Saturday.

The Crimson Tide will not only host ESPN's College GameDay this Saturday, but they are also expecting Jermaine Cobbins, a four-star cornerback from the 2028 class, to visit Alabama's campus for the first time this weekend.
Cobbins is a 6-foot-1, 175-pound cornerback from Springfield, Tennessee, where he has put himself on the map. As a sophomore defensive back, he is ranked as the No. 2 Cornerback, the No. 1 player from Tennessee, and the No. 33 overall prospect in the 2028 class, according to 247 Sports.
The top prospect from Tennessee for the 2028 class has received multiple offers from SEC schools. Among those extending offers to this standout cornerback are Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, Georgia, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State, according to 247 Sports.
Cobbins announced via his X profile on Wednesday that he would be in town for the Tide's matchup against the No. 16-ranked Vanderbilt Commodores.
Cobbins is a highly skilled player and the top prospect out of Tennessee. He possesses incredible speed, enabling him to thwart any potential touchdown runs or passes. Additionally, he excels at open-field tackling, with missed tackles being a rare occurrence for this defensive back.
Throughout Cobb's first two seasons at Springfield, he has recorded 70 total tackles, including 14 solo tackles, four interceptions, and two forced fumbles, with two fumble recoveries. Additionally, Cobb has excelled at receiver for Springfield, recording 438 yards and six touchdowns.
It's still very early in Cobbins' recruitment, with the four-star talent only six games into his Sophomore season. The Tide getting him on campus so early in his recruitment is a good sign, as it gives the coaches time to build a relationship with the standout defensive back.
