Nick Saban will welcome a graduate transfer to the 2020 Alabama Crimson Tide. Carl Tucker has chosen to transfer from North Carolina to the University of Alabama to play his final season of college football after the NCAA granted him a sixth year of eligibility. Tucker a tight end will supplement a position of need for the Crimson Tide.

Tucker was a three-star recruit out of Cornelius High School in North Carolina. He was ranked as the 43rd athlete in the country and the 19th overall recruit in the state of North Carolina by 247sports in the class of 2015. The redshirt senior played in 22 games over the last four seasons for the Tar Heels, he recorded 36 receptions for 549 yards and four touchdowns while at North Carolina.

Carl standing at 6’2” and weighing 248 pounds chose Alabama over Florida State, Missouri and Tennessee. He plans to enroll at Alabama in the summer in order to be prepared for the upcoming season.
