Alabama Lands Six AP Preseason All-American Selections
The Associated Press released its preseason All-American list for the upcoming college football season, and the Crimson Tide landed the most selections in the country.
Four members of the Tide were named to the first team, highlighted by Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Bryce Young and outside linebacker Will Anderson Jr. Returning safety Jordan Battle and transfer cornerback Eli Ricks were also named to the first-team.
Running back Jahmyr Gibbs and offensive guard Emil Ekiyor were named to the second-team, with Gibbs being selected as an all-purpose player.
Ohio State followed Alabama’s six selections with five of their own (three first-team, two second-team) and Georgia with four selections (three first-team, one second-team).
Notable first-team selections across the country include Texas running back Bijan Robinson, USC wide receiver Jordan Addison, Clemson defensive lineman Bryan Bresee, and Texas A&M safety Antonio Johnson.
