Alabama LB Terrell Lewis Suffers Torn ACL
Alabama's linebacker injury curse from last season has carried over to this off season losing one of the rising stars in the core.
Last week, outside linebacker Terrell Lewis tore his right ACL and underwent surgery on Monday. In a statement earlier today, Nick Saban confirmed the Lewis injury and says there is no timeline at the moment for Lewis' return to the field.
“Terrell Lewis suffered a torn right ACL last week while training," Saban said. "He underwent successful surgery today, and a time-frame for his return is unknown at this time."
Last season, Lewis missed 10 games after suffering an upper arm injury in the season opener against Florida State. He returned for the Auburn game where he collected two tackles, but he made his biggest impact during the College Football Playoffs with a near interception in the game against Clemson and a career-high seven tackles and one sack in the championship game against the Georgia Bulldogs.
