Growing up in Southern California, my love of sports came from watching Lakers and Raiders games with my family and wanting to be Allen Iverson and Kobe Bryant on the court or Jerry Rice on the field. Although I didn't get involved in any school teams, I needed a way to be around sports and at least share my insight. I turned that passion for into a career in sports media, and I haven't looked back since. I moved to Tuscaloosa when I was 13 and graduated from Paul W Bryant High School. After high school, I attended Shelton State Community College where I did play-by-play for the women's and men's basketball team. After graduating from Shelton State in May 2014, I decided to stay home and finish my degree at the University of Alabama. As a student, I made sure I continued following in my sports media aspirations. I worked for the student radio station 90.7 the Capstone, hosting various show topics including football, basketball and classic hip-hop. I also did play-by-play for both of Alabama's basketball programs. I also started writing for the student newspaper, the Crimson White, on their sports staff, working as a contributing writer and staff reporter. Those opportunities lead to internships with Alabama Public Radio, The Tuscaloosa News, and Tide 102.9. I graduated from Alabama in May 2016 with a degree in journalism with a concentration in sports news and information. Now, I turned my childhood passion into a reality, becoming the executive producer for 'The Game' with Ryan Fowler. It feels good to bring my lunch room sports conversation to the airwaves.
