Alabama Locks in Series With South Alabama
The Crimson Tide has agreed to a basketball series with the South Alabama Jaguars. Alabama will play the Jaguars the next three seasons, at home in the 2020-21 and 2022-23 season and will head to Mobile in 2021-22. The Tide has played South Alabama three times in program history with a record of 2-1.
The Jaguars become another school on what's shaping up to be a loaded non-conference schedule. The Tide will play at the Maui Invitational with North Carolina, Indiana, Davidson, Providence, Stanford, Texas and UNLV. Alabama is participating in a neutral site game with Clemson, at home against Furman, Vermont, Houston and South Alabama and on the road against Yale.
Nate Oats believes in scheduling tough out of conference games to boost the programs RPI which helps its chances of making the NCAA Tournament. The 2020 Crimson Tide schedule is nearly complete.
The Crimson Tide last played South Alabama in Tuscaloosa in 2010, winning 72-50.
