While Alabama looks to make a championship run come March, it's never too soon to take a peek at the future as the Crimson Tide aims to add to its 2022 recruiting class with Willie Lightfoot.

The 6-foot guard out of Wichita, Kansas is currently ranked as the 5th-overall player in the state. His offers include reputable programs such as Oregon, Marquette, and Youngstown. With the 2021 class practically set in stone it'll be interesting to see Nate Oats's team building skills.

Lightfoot projects as a Power 5 contributor with potential to start later on in his college career. Though undersized, his tenacity, basketball IQ, and efficiency will translate to the next level.

Lightfoot is an extremely quick guard who has the ability to score at all three levels of the court. His assortment of runners, floaters, and euro steps make him an effective finisher. He also shows comfort with catch and shoot situations, which is a great trait to have in Alabama's "3 and Key" system.

Lightfoot also shows an ability and willingness to get his teammates involved and is highly effective in pick and roll situations. His ability to manipulate the defense and read what's in front of him makes life a lot easier for his teammates.

This could serve as a great addition for the Tide. With Alabama being named in his top-5 schools, Lightfoot's quickness and shooting would flourish in a guard oriented system.
