Alabama Loses Star Wide Receiver Jameson Williams in National Championship
The Alabama Crimson Tide is attempting to win its 19th national championship in school history tonight as they take on the Georgia Bulldogs in Lucas Oil Stadium. The Tide's monumental task of defeating the Bulldogs for the second time this season got much tougher in the second quarter.
Alabama's star wide receiver Jameson Williams left the game after sustaining a leg injury. Williams had just made a 40-yard reception to set the Tide up in the Georgia end when he left the game.
The Tide was relying on Williams even more in this game due to losing John Metchie III in the SEC Championship Game.
Williams leaves the game having caught four passes for 65 yards.
Alabama now must lean on senior Slade Bolden, sophomore Traeshon Holden and freshman Ja'Corey Brooks, Christian Leary and Agiye Hall for the remainder of the game.
