Alabama will now have to replace more than just Jeremy Pruitt and the players they'll lose to the NFL Draft.

After filling the void for what Lane Kiffin and Steve Sarkisian left as Alabama's offensive play-caller, offensive coordinator Brian Daboll will leave Alabama after one season and head back to the NFL to the Buffalo Bills.

The Bills began their search for a new coordinator after parting ways with Rick Dennison. According to Alex Marvez of the Sporting News, Mike McCoy and Ron Chudzinski were leading candidates for the job.

Rumblings began that Daboll would return to the NFL with Patriots coordinators Josh McDaniels and Matt Patricia being considered for head coaching positions, but Daboll going to Buffalo isn't completely from left-field with his experience in the NFL and playing high school football in Athol Springs, New York.

This season, the Crimson Tide averaged 444.1 yards of total offense with 250.6 yards on the ground, which could be good news for Bills running back Lesean McCoy. As for the Crimson Tide next coordinator, this will be their fourth OC in the last 13 months.

Co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Mike Locksley or running back coach and associate head coach Burton Burns could be moved up to offensive coordinator if the Crimson Tide wanted to keep it in house. If not, they will have to look for another OC before spring practice starts.
