Alabama Offensive Lineman Organizes to Provide Shoes For Children
Alabama rising redshirt senior offensive lineman Emil Ekiyor has recently announced partnership with Samaritan's Feet for a charitable NIL deal. The veteran offensive lineman is partnering with the non-profit organization to provide 25,000 shoes for kids four to 14 years old in Alabama.
Samaritan's Feet and Ekiyor are teaming up asking Bama fans to donate $25 to his cause which will provide new shoes along with messages of encouragement.
Samaritan's Feet will be supplying Title 1 schools in Alabama with "Shoe Lockers" for administration and teachers to outfit children who have ill-fitting or worn out shoes.
Ekiyor is going into his third season as a starting guard and will be in leaned upon for his veteran presence on the line of scrimmage. He has played in 38 games for the Crimson Tide with 29 starts along the offensive line. Ekiyor will be instrumental in the Alabama offensive line returning to its Joe Moore Award winning form of 2020.
For now he's playing an instrumental part in helping out needy children in the state of Alabama. According to 2019 Census American Community Survey, Alabama's Childhood poverty rate is ranked 6th in the country.
