TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- On Monday, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer provided updates on four of the Crimson Tide's injured players, including starting right tackle Jayvin James, who left the Tide's victory over South Carolina two weeks ago and missed Alabama's 56-23 win over Mississippi State on Saturday.

Jayvin James (Lower Body)

"Jayvin, we're optimistic he can return this week. We'll kind of see as the week goes," DeBoer told reporters on Monday.

Desmond Umeozulu (Foot)

"Desmond, he's continued to work back, but he'll likely not be ready for this week, and probably a couple more weeks yet."

Justin Hill (Lower Body)

"Justin, just working back from his lower-extremity injury, he'll be back this season too, but more than likely not this week."

Jorden Edmonds (Foot)

"Jorden will still be out for quite a while yet, still," DeBoer said. "There's a chance he could come back here, even in the regular season, but it will be a little bit."

JUCO transfer offensive lineman Tyrell Miller filled in for James at right tackle for all 65 offensive snaps on Saturday against Mississippi State, allowing just one sack. A plethora of Alabama defenders have replaced the production of Hill and Umeozulu, including former five-star freshman Xavier Griffin, who led the Crimson Tide with nine tackles against Mississippi State, earning Freshman of the Week honors from the SEC.

No. 6 Alabama will host No. 2 Georgia on Saturday, October 10, inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:45 p.m. CT on ABC.
