Former Alabama Crimson Tide offensive lineman Pierce Quick announced on his social media his plans to transfer to Georgia Tech. Quick was considered a 4-star prospect and the No. 4 high school prospect in the state of Alabama in the class of 2019.

Quick entered the transfer portal after Alabama's dramatic win in the Iron Bowl in November.

The Hewitt-Trussville native appeared in eight games over his three seasons for the Crimson Tide, earning most of his playing time at offensive guard. He has only played against the Miami Hurricanes in the 2021 season.

Quick joins his former offensive line coach Brent Key with the Ramblin' Wreck in Atlanta in 2022. He will reportedly have three years of eligibility remaining. Key, who recruited Quick to Alabama, also hails from Hewitt-Trussville High School in the Birmingham area, adding an extra connection between the pair.

Georgia Tech finished 2021 with a 3-9 record and finished second-to-last in the ACC Coastal. Quick will look to make the most of his opportunities and help the Yellowjackets out of the basement.

While the Birmingham area player did not make much of an impact on the field for the Crimson Tide, he's done a good job taking advantage of the NCAA's new Name, Image and Likeness rules.

Quick partnered with Saw's BBQ, Barstool and Meals by Misty prior to the 2021 season beginning.
