Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide saw enough of rising freshman quarterback Davi Belfort to offer him a scholarship as a member of the 2025 recruiting class. Belfort announced just his third division 1 offer Monday evening.

Mixed martial arts and UFC fans may recognize his name. Davi is the son of former UFC light heavyweight and heavyweight champion Vitor "The Phenom" Belfort.

Nonetheless, it's young Belfort's playing ability that drives the attention around his name. The 6' 170lb quarterback from Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach, Florida already has offers from Arizona State and Florida Atlantic and recently took a visit to see Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns.

"[Coach Saban] was telling me that he doesn't usually offer young kids like me, but he said that I just caught his attention and that he loved the way that I threw the ball," Belfort told 247Sports Monday. "He said he just loved the way that I carried myself and that he's definitely going to be watching some of my games in high school."

Belfort gushed over his most recent offer, saying Alabama "is like my dream school." Belfort attended a camp in Tuscaloosa Monday, throwing in front of Saban and offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien at the camp and for a separate workout the same day.

"It was amazing to be in the same room as Nick Saban," Belfort said. "Literally the G.O.A.T in college football. One of the best to do it. Who knows, maybe one day I will be playing for him."

Belfort has drawn the eyes of recruiting analysts across the country in 7 on 7 camps and other such event. As such, he stands a strong chance of being one of the top rated players in the country when rankings for the 2025 class begin to form.

With an offer from Nick Saban in his grasp though, the attention of every top program in the nation will now turn to Belfort and his right arm.
