Booker began his interview with the media by making no excuses for the weather in today's game, with multiple Alabama players slipping and falling on the field, with Milroe and Ryan Williams both slipping and falling on the same play, resulting in a three and out for the Crimson Tide early in the second quarter, despite the elements. Booker claimed: "Playing football, especially being in Florida you gotta be ready for the elements, but you can't let the elements be an excuse."

Alabama's junior offensive tackle was asked how the squad got over the first quarter slump, which saw the Tide commit three turnovers and allow the Wolverines to score 16 points, Booker replied, "Go 1-0, that's the message to everyone. You can't control what happened on the last play, but you can control what you do forward." The Tide went on to score 10 consecutive points in the second quarter.

The starting offensive tackle for Alabama said, "It was a tough one," when asked how Booker will remember this season, which saw the Tide finish 9-4 and lose in the Reliaquest Bowl after being one of the controversial teams left out of the 12-team CFP. "One that will teach me a lot, and one that, in spite of all the hardships I faced, has improved me as a person and a leader." Booker added.

When asked about declaring for the NFL draft, Booker replied, "I just want to enjoy this time with my teammates.". I'm going to enjoy some time with my family, so I'm not too concerned."

When asked what differences he's seen in Alabama's junior quarterback Jalen Milroe this season, Booker responded, "I learn a lot from him, and I'm just grateful to block for two great quarterbacks." Booker also played with Bryce Young in his freshman season.

To conclude his discussion with the media, Booker was asked what the future of Alabama football looks like under Kalen Deboer, who ended his first season as head coach of the Crimson Tide with a 9-4 record. Booker said, "Very Bright!" I am confident that the future under Coach Deboer is very bright."
