Alabama Pitcher Suffers Muscle Strain
Alabama starting pitcher Garrett McMillan will be out for the start of the season after suffering a muscle strain.
"A lot of people have been asking about Garrett McMillan, he's got a muscle strain so he'll be out for a period of time," said Alabama baseball head coach Brad Bohannon. "Don't really know exactly until he starts rehabs and gets going, but he'll pitch again this year."
The Tuscaloosa, Ala., native has spent one season at the Capstone and is a big part of Crimson Tide's starting rotation. Last year, he recorded a 4.29 earned run average with 79 hits, 41 earned runs, 26 walks, 83 strikeouts, 18 home runs, a 4-5 record, and a perfect fielding percentage.
McMillan is a Hillcrest High School alumnus and transferred to Alabama after spending two years at Shelton State.
