Team 16 will be hosting two regattas this year. The first chance to see the Crimson Tide crew members on home water will be on Oct. 29 when Alabama hosts the Head of the Black Warrior River regatta. The team will welcome Clemson, Louisville and Miami to T-Town for the race.

The season will officially start for the Crimson Tide on Oct. 1 when they compete in the Head of the Oklahoma in Oklahoma City.

The spring rowing season will start at the end of February for Alabama when they go to South Carolina to face Clemson.

The team's second home regatta of the year will take place on March 4 when Alabama hosts Eastern Michigan.

Alabama is entering its fifth rowing season under head coach Glenn Putyrae. Putyrae took over as the head coach for Alabama in the 2018-19 season after spending seven consecutive years with Gonzaga and winning five West Coast Conference titles.

The Crimson Tide is looking to win a conference championship this year after finishing in second place in the Big 12 three years in a row.

Postseason racing will begin on May 14 at the Big 12 Championships in Austin, Texas. Alabama competes in the Big 12 in rowing, since the Southeastern Conference does not have enough schools that participate in competitive rowing.

The season will wrap up on May 26-28 in Camden, New Jersey, the site of the 2022-23 NCAA Rowing Championships.
