The Alabama pitching staff combined for a three-hit, 3-0 shutout win over Lipscomb on Sunday afternoon inside Hank Aaron Stadium. The victory clinched the series for Alabama and moves the team to 9-6 on the season.

Crimson Tide starter Geoffrey Bramblett started off the solid pitching day for UA, tossing 6.0 IP and allowing just one hit while striking out five for his team-leading third win of the season. Bramblett was followed up by Jake Hubbard and Thomas Burrows who combined to toss three innings of work, with each allowing a hit and Burrows collecting his second save of the season.

Riley Colburn made his first career start in center field and would lead the Crimson Tide offense, finishing 2-for-4 with two of Alabama’s three RBI. Chance Vincent also contributed two hits, finishing the day 2-for-2 with a walk and a hit by pitch.

Following this afternoon’s contest, Alabama will host Alabama A&M for a Tuesday doubleheader in the Tide’s final tune-up before conference play. The Crimson Tide will then head to Starkville on Friday to face off with the Mississippi State Bulldogs in the Tide’s first SEC action of the season.
