Alabama softball ended its 2021 season ranked No. 3 in the national polls. This is the team's second top-five finish in the last three years and its 22nd top-25 finish in a row.

After having its 2020 season cut short, the seven returning super-seniors and the rest of Team 25 came back ready to play.

At the very beginning of the season head coach Patrick Murphy and his team faced adversity and endured sudden injuries. There were small injuries in the couple tournaments that Alabama played in. Then two torn ACL of both the middle infielders, at separate times, that forced changes within the lineup.

The team earned its 13th trip to Oklahoma City, overcame challenges during the Women's College World Series and showed the grit and resilience that Murphy had talked about all season. And although Alabama's run didn't end the way that anyone had hoped, Team 25 gave everyone a season to remember.
