Series History: Alabama has played Mississippi State more than any other team in program history. Saturday will mark the 102nd meeting between the schools that are separated by just 80 miles. The Crimson Tide leads 78-18-3 all-time in a series that dates back to 1896. Alabama has won eight straight against the Bulldgos.

Last Meeting: Last year's meeting in Starkville got ugly for quarterback Dak Prescott. The Alabama defense sacked him nine times and held the Bulldogs to just six points. On the day Mississippi State outgained Alabama but Derrick Henry rushed for 204 yards to lead the team to a 31-6 win.

Last Week: Alabama was shutout in the first half of a game for the first time since Nick Saban's debut season in Tuscaloosa. The defense held LSU and Leonard Fournette in check all night and allowed just 125 yards of total offense. Jalen Hurts scored a late rushing touchdown to give Alabama its first points in the fourth quarter and Alabama hung on for a 10-0 win in Baton Rouge.

Mississippi State pulled the biggest upset in college football last week, knocking off No. 4 Texas A&M, 35-28. The Bulldogs stormed out to a 28-7 lead thanks to an offense that rolled up 574 total yards of offense on the Aggies. Quarterback Nick Fitzgerald rushed for 182 yards and threw for 209 to give Mississippi State its first FBS win since September.
