Viewership Numbers for Alabama and LSU Show Power of Alabama’s Brand
The Alabama Crimson Tide and the LSU Tigers are two of college football's most recognizable brands, and the power of those brands was on display again on Saturday night in Bryant-Denny Stadium. According to viewership numbers released by Nielsen, Alabama and LSU had the most-watched college football game of the weekend, with an average of 7.5 million viewers on ABC.

The SEC had three of the eight most-watched games on Saturday, with Alabama and LSU being the most-watched game. Texas A&M and Missouri had the fourth most-watched game of the weekend, with 4.9 million viewers, and Georgia and Mississippi State had the eighth most-watched game with 2.3 million viewers.
YouTube TV and Disney are still ongoing in their carriage dispute, making it more difficult for viewers to watch college football on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network, and ABC. Disney-controlled networks are still unavailable on YouTube TV as we approach the third straight weekend of the dispute between Google and Disney.
The eight most-watched games on Saturday were:
Alabama-LSU (ABC): 7.5 million
Indiana-Penn State (FOX): 6 million
Oregon-Iowa (CBS): 5.4 million
Texas A&M-Missouri (ABC): 4.9 million
BYU-Texas Tech (ABC): 4 million
Navy-Notre Dame (NBC): 3.2 million
Iowa State-TCU (FOX): 2.4 million
Georgia-Mississippi State (ESPN): 2.3 million
Alabama will likely draw high viewership numbers again on Saturday, as the fourth-ranked Crimson Tide hosts No. 11 Oklahoma at 2:30 p.m. on ABC.
