Alabama vs. Tennessee Game Preview
This Saturday the Alabama Crimson Tide will host its homecoming game against the Tennessee Volunteers in Tuscaloosa.
So far this season the Vols have had 200 yards rushing and passing in four of the last five games. In order to beat the Tide's defense they will need to be as fearless as possible. Alabama's defense is on another level after getting overcome by Florida's run game a month ago in "The Swamp."
If the Vols manage to maintain their offensive speed and put together a worthy pass rush for Bryce Young, they might have a chance against the Tide.
When it comes to the Tennessee offense, they may not have its starting quarterback. Brendon Hooker injured his leg during the beginning of the season and is a huge part to the Vols offense. He has proved to be very consistent and controlled the offense very well as a quarterback. With him being injured, Joe Milton is the next man up. Although Milton's speed and agility has proven effective at the quarterback position, he is not as accurate and consistent as Hooker and consistency is key against a Tide defense.
Tennessee's starting quarterback will be a game time decision on Saturday, forcing the Tide to prepare for both gunslingers this weekend.
Alabama is perfectly equipped for a dog fight against Tennessee. With Bryce Young playing at a Heisman level, Brian Robinson becoming one of the best backs in college football, and their entire receiver core, they should have no problem with putting up points against Tennessee.
Saturday's game will take place in Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa. The game will air at 6:00 p.m. on ESPN. As of right now Alabama stands as a 25-point favorite against the Vols.
