A strong start and balanced effort led the Alabama women's basketball team over the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs 89-60 inside of Coleman Coliseum on Sunday afternoon.

All eleven Crimson Tide players that entered the contest scored and four reached double figures in the game.

"I thought we did a really good job of getting off to a really good first and second quarter," said Alabama head coach Kristy Curry. "The third and the fourth, not necessarily to our standard, but I do think that one thing that we did do with three games in seven days [is] we did keep hopefully some freshness [and] some things that can pay off down the stretch. Every minute that everyone gets right now really critical."
