Auburn Legacy Commits to Crimson Tide
Five-star class of 2025 wide receiver Ryan Williams has committed to the Crimson Tide.
The offensive weapon announced his decision on Saturday night, shortly after the Texas A&M vs. Alabama game had kicked off.
The Ala., native ranks at No. 25 nationally, No. 6 in wide receivers, and No. 4 in the state of Alabama, according to 247Sports Composite.
Alabama sent the prospect an offer in June while he was at a camp at the Capstone.
“First off, the first time I came here I felt at home. I enjoy myself here and my family does too. Also, I love the competitive nature here and feel like I will fit in, and everyone loves to win," said Williams to On3Sports' Hayes Fawcett.
Williams is an Auburn legacy as his dad, also Ryan Williams played at Auburn as a defensive back.
The sophomore has helped the Saraland Spartans to a perfect 8-0 record this season. Last year, the Spartans went 10-3, won the 6A Region 1 championship, and made an appearance in the 2021 AHSAA State Playoffs where the team lost to Hillcrest 24-16 in the quarterfinals.
The prospect is the first commitment to Alabama's class of 2025.
Williams chose Alabama over other big programs like Tennessee, Michigan, Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Auburn.
