The Alabama Crimson Tide men's basketball team will open its 2020-21 season at home against the Jacksonville State Gamecocks on November 10. The program allowed Crimson Chaos President Luke Ratliff to make the announcement on his Instagram Live this afternoon.

It will be the 14th time the Crimson Tide has taken on Jacksonville State. Alabama enters the game with a 12-1 record against the Gamecocks. Jacksonville State finished 2019-20 with a 13-19 overall record, the Gamecocks were 8-10 in the Ohio Valley Conference, good enough for seventh in the league.

The Crimson Tide has put a focus on beefing up its non-conference schedule, the program has announced games with Memphis, Vermont, Furman, Houston and South Alabama in Coleman Coliseum. The team will travel on the road to play the defending Ivy League Champions, Yale. Additionally the Tide will take on Clemson in Atlanta and play in the Thanksgiving, Maui Invitational with North Carolina, Indiana, Davidson, Providence, Stanford, Texas and UNLV.

Alabama could also take part in the SEC-Big XII Challenge for the fourth consecutive year. The Tide is an SEC best 3-1 in the event.

The Tide will also participate in the Rocket City Classic for the fourth year in a row, the other teams are yet to be determined.

Lastly the Tide is reportedly working out an arraignment with the Memphis Tigers to play a charity event in Memphis in addition to the game that is scheduled in Tuscaloosa.

Nate Oats is building a non-conference schedule to test his team and prepare them for the rigors of an SEC schedule.
