The Alabama men's basketball team beat the Mississippi Bulldogs 72-49 in the quarterfinals of the 2023 SEC Tournament.

The Tide was rolling from the get-go, jumping out to a quick 7-0 lead and never looked back, leading the rest of the game. The Bulldogs went 1-of-5 to start the game and never found a rhythm or a way to come back.

The Alabama offense went 27-of-67 from the floor (40.3%), 13-of-37 from behind the arc (35.1%), went 5-of-9 from the free throw line (55.6%), and had 14 offensive rebounds.

On the other side of the ball, the Tide defense forced 12 Mississippi State turnovers and allowed only one three pointer out of 13 attempts (7.7%).

Alabama capitalized on the Bulldogs mistakes, 19 points off of turnovers, as well as had 25 bench points, 26 points in the paint, and ten second chance points.

Brandon Miller led the offense with 18 points, nine rebounds, and five assists. Charles Bediako, who is celebrating his 21st birthday today, scored 11 points, six rebounds, and an assist.
