Bama Lands a Massive Flip Ahead of Signing Day
On Tuesday, the day before the mayhem of national signing day began, Alabama landed a massive commitment flip from 5-star offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor, the highest rated recruit to ever come out of the state of Iowa. The 6'7" Des Moines native took to social media to make the announcement after visiting Alabama in an unofficial manner the weekend prior.
Proctor had been committed to Iowa since June.
Proctor is a huge get for the Crimson Tide. Since the Iron Bowl, Alabama has seen five offensive linemen enter the transfer portal, including former 5-star Tommy Brockermeyer. He joins fellow 2023 commits RyQueze McElderry (4-star), Miles McVay (4-star), Olaus Alinen (4-star), and Wilkin Formby (4-star) in helping Eric Wolford continue rebuilding the offensive line.
Proctor is the fifth 5-star commit in Alabama's number one 2023 recruiting class and was recruited by Freddie Roach and Wolford. He will ink his letter of intent Wednesday morning.
