On a recent episode of The Ringer podcast, "Slow News Day", former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback AJ McCarron stated that, based on what he knows, Harsin was informed that he would be fired at the end of the year after their loss at home to Penn State. We now know that this is not the case.

According to AL.com, Harsin has not been informed by anybody about losing his job, nor is his position in any apparent jeopardy.

Many are still speculating that Bryan Harsin may be out the door soon however, with rumored candidates for his replacement consisting of several notable names including the likes of Hugh Freeze, Urban Meyer, Lane Kiffin, and Deion Sanders among others.
