Bucky McMillian was recently named as the new head coach of Samford University. McMillian left Mountain Brook High School after 12 seasons as head coach to take the job with the Samford Bulldogs. McMillian joined The Jay Barker Show to talk about the move from high school to college and his career path so far. You can hear the whole interview on Youtube.

McMillian won five state championships while as head coach of Mountain Brook High School and finished runner up two other times. McMillian won nine area championships and was named 2018 Coach of the Year by the National High School Coaches Association.

As head coach of the Spartans, McMillian put together a record of 333-74. He leaves the high school level to become the 29th coach of the Samford Bulldogs. He spoke about his experience at the high school level, from developing his system to dealing with parents with The Jay Barker Show.
