Cecil Hurt, of The Tuscaloosa News, joined Host of "Southern Fried Sports" Travis Reier Tuesday morning to talk some college basketball and more.

The duo lead things off with the pending NCAA sanctions that at least six teams will face, before diving into Hurt's evaluation of how Alabama athletics as a whole has preformed this sports year, and capped things off with an update on Tua Tagovailoa.

"With that kind of speculation," Hurt told Reier about the pending NCAA sanctions. "Never put a number or a date. Never say six teams, because that just drives everyone into a frenzy of trying to guess which six teams."

"He looks a little bit leaner," Hurt told Reier about Tagovailoa. "I think he really kind of came out in the Spring and felt like he really needed to get the ankle rehabbed, get in great shape, and be ready for the upcoming season."

As always, you can tune into "Southern Fried Sports" weekdays from  11-noon. Don't forget to download the Tide102.9 app and stay connected with the Crimson Tide all year long.

"I would say two things," Hurt told Reier. "And these are true, generally. Say less than you know, is a good rule of thumb, and always under promise. If you under promise and over deliver everybody's happy."
