It is too early to determine who the best team in college football is, but that doesn't stop critics and polls from putting their two cents into who's currently at the top of the mountain in college football.

According to the polls, the Alabama Crimson Tide is the number one team in the country with three victories including Florida State in the season opener, and Mountain West opponents Fresno State and Colorado State.

In the first three games of season, the Crimson Tide are averaging 417.7 yards on offense and are allowing 304 yards and 13.3 points to opposing opponents.

The Clemson Tigers currently ranks behind the Crimson Tide in both the AP and Coaches Poll. The Tigers have been dominate on both sides of the ball with 519.7 on offense, and their defense are allowing 10 points and 223.3 yards per game.

They've defeated two ranked opponents in back-to-back games defeating the Auburn Tigers 14-6 and shutting down Lamar Jackson and the Louisville Cardinals 47-21.

College Football reporter Aaron Torres believes the Clemson Tigers resume is enough to get them ahead of Alabama in the polls. He joined The Game with Ryan Fowler to explain why.

Listen to Torres take on Clemson and the rest of Week 3 of the college football season in the video above. And don't miss The Game with Ryan Fowler every weekday afternoons from 2-6 p.m.
