Several West Alabama teams continues to progress toward the AHSAA playoffs this week while others, not so much. Here is a look at the scoreboard.

Tuscaloosa County needed a home win over Hoover to keep its post season hopes in place. The Cats did not get it as Hoover won 37-10.

Central was looking for a road win at Northridge to keep playoff dreams alive, and the Falcons rallied for two fourth quarter David McNeil six-yard TD's to win 13-12.

ACA hosted West Blocton and the Pats behind Davis Dare and Kai Young pulled away for a 44-31 key region win.

Tuscaloosa Academy travelled to Double Springs and left the Free State of Winston with a 35-7 win led by quarterback Preston Lancaster.

Hillcrest was on the road but had little trouble with Bessemer City, 28-0.

Gordo continued to roll into the playoffs with a road win Thursday at Fayette County, 35-6.

Pickens County held serve at home over Holy Spirit, 51-0.

Paul Bryant went into Brookwood and came away with a 27-0 shutout.

Bibb County took down Montevallo 34-0

Hale County won in Moundville over Dallas County, 41-8.

Aliceville visited Cold Springs and the Yellow Jackets cruised 64-14.

It was Senior Night in Cottondale and the Warriors of Tuscaloosa Christian took down Tabernacle, 56-28 behind another big game from Luke Jones. Jaeden Yeager led the defense for the Warriors.

North River Christian trailed 28-0 in Montgomery to defending champ Evangel but ralied to win 32-28. Hats off to Head Coach John Teasley and staff.

LJ Cormier and Sipsey Valley shut down Holt 48-0.
