Chris Braswell signed his letter of intent to join the Alabama Crimson Tide today. December 18 is the first day high school seniors can officially sign with their new college programs. Braswell is a five star defensive end out of St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland. Braswell is listed as the 17th best prospect in the nation and the second overall prospect out of Maryland according to 247sports.

Braswell played in high school alongside current Tide freshman, offensive lineman Darrian Dalcourt and inside linebacker Shane Lee. Braswell stands at 6’3 220 pounds and is listed as a defensive end but projects to see time at outside linebacker for the Crimson Tide. He has been committed to Alabama since the conclusion of the 2018 Iron Bowl in Tuscaloosa.

Braswell chose Alabama over Clemson, LSU, Georgia, Ohio State and many others. His final year at St. Frances Academy he tallied 13 sacks, eight tackles for loss and three forced fumbles in 11 games. Braswell was recruited by Sal Sunseri and Charles Huff. He will compete in the Under Armour All-American Game on January 2 and then enroll at Alabama for the spring semester.
