The No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide is set to head to Oxford on Saturday, to take on an Ole Miss team coming off and overtime win in Lexington over Kentucky, 42-41. Lane Kiffin is set to take on Nick Saban in his first game as a former Nick Saban assistant. Saban is 20-0 in these contests after defeating Jimbo Fisher and No. 13 Texas A&M, 52-24.

Hurricane Delta is on the horizon and scheduled to make landfall at the end of the week. With all the high school games in the area being moved to Thursday in order to avoid the weather, all eyes turn to the college schedule and Crimson Tide fans wonder will the game this weekend against Ole Miss be altered by the storm?

"We've heard three options," Kiffin said. "One would be Friday, one would be Sunday and one would be later in the year. I don't think we'll know until [Thursday] for sure. I think they're kind of holding off with the most accurate weather we can get. Nothing has changed so far."

The fourth option is still playing the game as originally scheduled on Saturday, in Oxford at 5:00. Kiffin acknowledged that that was the leading option at this time.

Saban was asked about when the game will be held after practice today.

"I think we’re going to make everybody’s best effort to play the game on Saturday. No one really listens to anything that I have to say. So this is about our administration, their administration, the SEC, trying to make the best decision. From a weather standpoint, I think the worst of the weather will be through their by game time so I don’t think any players will be in danger. It will be raining probably. And it will probably rain most of the day.," sad Alabama's Nick Saban. "So maybe tomorrow we’ll get a better feel for when exactly this thing is going to move through. We’ve had discussions but I think everybody is going to try to make sure we’re get to play the game on Saturday. Nobody is for sure what the best time to do that is."

Both sides are expecting to hear a more definite answer tomorrow from the SEC. The league has already altered the LSU vs. Missouri game this week, it was originally scheduled to be held in Baton Rouge but will now be held in Columbia, Missouri to avoid the extreme weather.

Should the game be postponed to a later weekend the fan bases could likely plan on meeting on Nov. 7. The two sides share that weekend as a common BYE weekend.
